Cooking With Ellen

This morning we made "doubled" eggs. I sliced the eggs in half, put the yolks in a bowl with mustard, salad dressing, salt and pepper, and then, with a tricky bit of hand work, we both smooshed them together.

Then Ellen counted the "nests" ...you know, the white halves of the eggs, as I filled them.

Voila- "doubled" eggs.

What, no sugar? No pickle relish?

Isn't it interesting how different families make "doubled eggs" in different ways?

No sugar for me...nor pickle relish either. SIL does sugar and vinegar in hers..sweet and sour deviled eggs.

I once tried them using peanut better and Tabasco Sauce...it wasn't a hit here. Ick!
