Happy Anniversary!
How time flies.
We always say that; how time flies. But seems like when we are in the thick of things time seems to go so slowly.
There was a point where I was for sure Ellen would never get potty trained. Now Ellen will soon be 20. She’s a sophomore in university and doing so well!
There was a point when I thought I’d be toting grain to cows and bottle feeding calves at 5 in the morning for the rest of my life. Now it’s been 5 years since we retired the dairy.
There was a point in my younger years, in fact up until just 3-4 years ago where I was aghast at the thought of teaching as a profession. Now I’m subbing with the local school district.
There was even a point when I was in my 30s that I was quite sure I’d never get married. And time as a single person seemed to drag on.
Now I’ve been married TWENTY TWO years! It doesn’t seem possible! I am so thankful for my husband and family
As I grow older, I have learned to cherish every era of my life. Even the times that seem to drag. I have learned to be thankful for all the good things I have now. I am still surrounded with family, loved ones and good friends. I know not to take them for granted because we don’t live forever and time does fly. So I will continue to rejoice in the small things, I know they are all gifts.
