Dairy Daze...and Now Beyond

 It has been since May 2025 that I was diagnosed with AGS, I will trust to your perspicacity to do that math on that one.  Well, over a year, nearly a year and a half, I guess.  What an up and down journey this has been.  If you go back to my blog entry on June 22 of this year, it will describe some of my AGS journey as far as the medical happenings this year.  As a follow up I will add that since I have eliminated rosemary extract exposure I have done fairly well.  I am still quite quite sure I have MCAS, mast cell activation syndrome, and/or histamine intolerance due to several different symptoms; including the fume reactions. But the reactions are so different between mammal exposure and high histamine exposure.  Last month I had an accidental exposure to some sort of mammal because after trying a new brand of supposedly ground chicken, which in texture behaved suspiciously like ground turkey, I developed the heart palpitations and tachycardia that ...

 Aha!  On the new laptop I figured out how to enable cookies for Google to allow me to get photos on here.  Here is an absolutely horrific photo of me from last month when Gary, Gail and I went trout fishing at Bennett Spring for the last time this season.  We all caught our limit (4) within a fairly short period of time.  In fact, after I got 3 on my stringer I started getting picky about what I kept.  As long as we were paying money for them, we only kept the bigger ones.  We were able to get our favorite fishing hole, the weather was delightful, and the fish were hungry.  We make our own dough bait and they seem to love it.  In fact they kept eating it off of the hooks.    ********************************** What else has been going on here?  Oh me.  Well, I have been subbing a great deal more this school year.  So.  Let’s try doing a NaBloPoMo again. I’m glad I remembered this year.  I am still struggling to figure out how to be able to post pictures from my iPhone into this blog  it blocks me from doing so somehow, which is very frustrating.  Bugg tv I shall persevere and figure it out   Until tomorrow.  

Over the years I seem to have a horrible track record of keeping up with this blog.  Life gets busy and in the way of blogging, the old laptop was cantankerous, and blogging from a cell phone is a bore, especially since it won't import photos very well.  I am not sure how well I will be able to get photos into this blog from this new laptop, but I am going to try.  Copy and paste does not seem to work well from the laptop into this blog, so I am not sure what to do to streamline the operation.   Anyway.  It has been since January that I have made an entry here.  I do have a draft post from late January, but I haven't gone back to read it.   Many things have happened, as they have a way of doing, over the course of a few months.  Ellen had a great first year of college.  She has now signed up to be a leader during Welcome Week at the college in August.  It is a new year here for the House of Howard; as it is all over the world.  We, any of us here, rarely make resolutions.  It is just another year to live and love.  I usually set a few goals; center my life around my faith more, write more, both on here and for my writing group, declutter some more, buy less.  That is pretty much it. We do have a few plans for the new year.  Ellen will go back to uni here in a few days; I think her first day back is the 12th. I am going to concentrate, as I said, on writing, managing my alpha gal and histamine intolerance issues, and on gardening.  Last summer I pretty much failed at gardening for several different reasons, I just felt so awful from this syndrome. This year I am on a med for it, plus I am learning how to manage it.  I am also going to garden a bit differently...  But I digress.  Ellen and I are planning on going to California to visit family over Memorial Day weekend.
