This and That
It has been hot and humid the past few days. We use a deal of soap this time of year what with two showers per day. Well, Ellen doesn't have time in the morning for a shower before she goes to work. Plus she's just going to get sweaty all day any way. But I get out in the garden in the mornings and get drenched in sweat just standing and watering. So I shower when I go in. Then in the evenings I get sweaty again working in the garden. Just standing out watering makes you sweat in this humidity. Ugh. So I have to shower again before I go to bed, because I can't sleep when I'm still sticky.
Today is August 1st and generally about this time of summer I am done with gardening...as in DONE, fed up. But, as usual, in looking forward to fall and cooler weather, I took leave of my senses and planted green beans and turnips yesterday.
Tomorrow, or this evening, I'd like to get some zucchini and more yellow summer squash planted.
The other day I cooked up onion and yellow squash in butter for supper. There wasn't much left over. I sprinkled Parmesan over it. Only about a spoonful was leftover. That's is below, along with sliced tomato, cucumber and onion in salted vinegar water, and peppers.

So, totally random here.
In summer I rather lose the yen to do loom knitting. So I have started making cards. I get either scrapbook or junk journal kits, which are actually a bit cheaper than card making kits. Here is my Coffee Klatch Collection:
They are all blank inside, except I put I piece of junk journal "ephemera" or "whatever they call it" paper inside with washi tape;
Starting off I did order a couple of card kits...like so...
They are cute, but not totally original.
I have come up with a couple different series.
Bugs:
These involved a great deal of "fussy cutting" around the bugs that were all on a large sheet of scrapbook paper. But they turned out ok I think. These cards are 5x7. The coffee cards and the kit cards are 4x5 I believe.
Here are some wildlife ones:
I've put most of them in plastic sleeves. But I am not sure if I should put all of them like that. I think it protects them, though, so I probably will.
As far as the price to sell them...I dunno. I think I will just set a flat price for any and all sizes I make. That would be easiest, I think.
That's it for now. Thank you for dropping in. I hope you have a great day.
